About TIRF > Trustees > MaryAnn Christison
MaryAnn Christison is a professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Linguistics and adjunct professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Utah. She teaches courses in the MA and Ph.D. graduate programs and coordinates ESL endorsement. She is the author of over 80 published and refereed articles on language teaching and second language research and 16 books. Christison was TESOL President 1997-98. She has been a classroom teacher for 36 years, teaching in elementary, secondary, adult, and university environments. She has been a teacher educator for 23 years, working with teachers in the U.S. and in over 30 different countries throughout the world.
