Kees de Bot

Kees de Bot graduated from the University of Nijmegen and became chair of Applied Linguistics at that university in 1992. In 2004 he moved to Groningen where he is head of the Department of Applied Linguistics and chair of the board of the Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience research institute. His research focusses on psycholinguistic aspects of bilingualism, the application of Dynamic Systems Theory in SLA, language attrition and different forms of bilinguals education in the European setting.
