TIRF Turns Ten!

TIRF (The International Research Foundation for English Language Education) turns 10 years old in June. TIRF was voted into existence by the TESOL Board of Directors in June 1998. TESOL provided the startup money for the foundation. To date, TIRF has awarded monies to fund 29 research projects involving 49 researchers for a total of $376,450 USD and has hosted dissemination and information gathering activities in Washington D.C. in the USA, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates. Congratulations to TIRF! Happy 10th Anniversary!

2008 TIRF Doctoral Dissertation Grants Announced

TIRF welcomes Doctoral Dissertation Grant (DDG) proposals for 2008. The DDG funding is intended to support worthy applicants who have advanced to candidacy in their doctoral programs and whose dissertation research plans address topics that TIRF has prioritized. For Doctoral Dissertation Research Grants, US $5,000 is the maximum award. Click here for further information on the DDG requirements and the DDG application process.
