Call for Proposals – “Reshaping Education: Aligning Assessment with Curriculum and Delivery”

Our colleagues at the British Council have announced that the Call for Proposals for New Directions LATAM 2023 is now open.

New Directions is the British Council’s flagship language testing and assessment conference. It provides perspectives and insight on trends and approaches in English language assessment at local, regional, and international levels. Since it was established in 2013, New Directions has celebrated 10 editions in East Asia and two in Latin America.

Next year’s LATAM conference convenes in São Paulo, Brazil from May 25^th to 27^th, 2023. The conference theme is“Reshaping Education: Aligning Assessment with Curriculum and Delivery.”

This conference theme emphasizes unifying teaching, learning, and assessment into one comprehensive learning system which will support the future ambitions of individuals, organizations, and countries.

Paper proposals are invited that address the main theme of the conference, and the following two strands:

• Language assessment literacy: Collaborating with educators
• Technology and assessment: The state of play and looking forward
