Educational Testing Service (ETS), a long-time TIRF partner, currently has several types of grant opportunities available. These grants are of interest to researchers and graduate students. Although the deadline for letters of intent for two of the available grants is rapidly approaching, the other grant program’s deadline is not until later this summer.

The TOEFL Committee of Examiners 2020 Research Program is intended to support research on topics related to the TOEFL iBT® test and the TOEFL ITP® Assessment Series. Letters of intent, which are optional, should be submitted via email to [email protected] by April 19, 2019. Applications should be submitted via email to [email protected] by July 15, 2019. The second and third types of grants available from ETS belong to the TOEFL® Young Students Series (YSS) Research Program: (A) Research Grants for Researchers, and (B) Research Grants for Graduate Students. These grants are intended to support research related to the TOEFL® YSS assessments. In order to be eligible for either type of grant, interested applicants must submit letters of intent by April 19, 2019. Applicants who submit letters of intent by the deadline mentioned above must submit full proposals by July 15, 2019. Click the links above for more information.
