Events like Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday were recognized differently this year in the US compared to past years due to the ongoing pandemic. Typically, people would have gathered with their families this past Thursday and then gone shopping the following day or over the weekend. Inevitably, many individuals had to change plans, in order to keep themselves and others safe.
One year-end event that might remain unaffected this year is #GivingTuesday. As this event is coming up tomorrow, we could really use your help.
In last month’s newsletter, we announced our year-end fundraising campaign. In short, TIRF’s Board members have pooled their funds to support TIRF. The result of their efforts is $15,000 to be realized by TIRF, provided other donors can meet this matching challenge; therefore, we’re relying on individuals like you to donate, so that the Foundation can fully realize the pledge.
Between now and Tuesday, December 8th, any donation to TIRF will be matched dollar for dollar until the $15,000 cap is met. In other words, your $50 donation will generate $100 for TIRF.
