The British Council’s “New Directions in Language Assessment” conference in LATAMwill take placein Mexico City, Mexico on May 16-17, 2025, which will convene under the theme: “Meeting the Moment: Diverse Language Assessment Needs in Latin America.” The call for papers for the conferenceis now open.
Proposals are invited that address the main theme of the conference and the following three sub-themes:
- Accommodating a diverse range of test-takers
- Responding to diverse contexts
- Embracing a diverse range of approaches to assessment
“New Directions in Language Assessment”is the British Council’s flagship language testing and assessment conference. The conference provides perspectives and insight on trends and approaches in English language assessment at a local, regional, and international level. Since being established in 2013, the conference has celebrated editions in East Asia, Latin America, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
