TIRF Awardee Map Updated
To bring the “I” in TIRF—International—to life, we update the TIRF Awardee Map each year following the announcement of our newest grant and award recipients. This interactive Google Maps resource highlights where TIRF-supported scholars are originally from around the world (i.e., their hometowns) and reflects the growing global reach of our programs.

The TIRF Awardee Map features information about recipients of TIRF Doctoral Dissertation Grants (DDG), TIRF-British Council Research Mentoring Awards, and TIRF Bailey Awards, including their names, hometowns, institutions, and the titles of their studies. For DDG recipients, the map also links to summaries of their award-winning research. In addition, supporters can explore information about other TIRF alumni—scholars who previously received a Master’s Research Grant, a Priority Research Grant, or a Sheikh Nahayan Fellowship.
As of December 2025, TIRF’s DDG program alone has resulted in 240 grantees from nearly 30 countries of the world. Since the establishment of the Foundation, TIRF has awarded monies to fund 287 research projects involving 325 researchers from many countries around the globe.
