In partnership with National Geographic Learning (NGL), over the last several years, TIRF has been producing the “TIRF Insights” Series. Through this publishing endeavor, we profile recent research in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT) in a practical and accessible format. We are pleased to highlight the fact that the papers are published not only in English, but also Arabic, Chinese (simplified), and Spanish.

There have been three volumes in the Series to date. The topics covered are social-emotional learning, English-medium instruction, and climate change education. The publications are written for parents, teachers, school leaders, and all student advocates who want to review recent educational trends in a nonacademic way.

Each of the papers in the “TIRF Insights” Series presents the context of the topic, provides implications for stakeholders in ELT, shares perspectives on the future of the issues covered, and includes ideas for how educators can take steps in addressing the information presented. The papers are useful, for example, to teachers as supplemental resources for their lessons, or to policymakers and parents who wish to better understand the themes and issues identified in each paper.

TIRF remains grateful to NGL for their collaboration on the Series.
