In case you missed our announcement last month, the TIRF Insights: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) publication is now available in Arabic, Chinese (Simplified Characters), and Spanish!

Published earlier this year in English, the SEL paper addresses issues such as disrupted education, learning loss, and the wide-scale use of hybrid and online teaching and learning in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Author Katherine Stannett makes the case that these issues had negative impacts on not only students’ academic skills but also their social and emotional skills.

All four language versions of the SEL paper – Arabic, Chinese (Simplified Characters), English, and Spanish – are available on TIRF’s website and are free to download. Click here to access the papers.

As a reminder, the SEL paper was the basis of TIRF’s presentation at the 2022 TESOL Convention. Katherine Stannett and TIRF Trustee Erik Gundersen, who serves at the Foundation’s Publications Advisory Committee Chair, gave the presentation virtually.
