We are pleased to announce that long-standing TIRF Trustee Dr. Jun Liu has been elected to serve as TIRF’s first Vice President. This new leadership position was established and entered into TIRF’s official bylaws earlier this year.

Serving alongside TIRF President Kathi Bailey and members of the Foundation’s Executive Committee, Dr. Liu will be working to advance TIRF’s development efforts. He is charged with the important responsibilities of identifying new partnerships and programs that will help to expand TIRF’s activities and improve the Foundation’s financial picture.

Dr. Liu was asked to comment on his recent election as TIRF Vice President. He noted, “At this juncture, the Vice President position for TIRF is critical for leading its strategic development plan over the next few years. I am thrilled to be entrusted to take on this challenging but important role to work closely with the Board in furthering TIRF’s mission with out-of-the-box thinking and entrepreneurship to bring financial soundness to the Foundation.”

Aside from his volunteer service to TIRF, Dr. Liu is Vice Provost for Global Affairs, Dean of International Academic Programs and Services, and Professor of Linguistics at Stony Brook University. His extensive international professional experience in educational development work will be of great help to TIRF and all of its constituencies.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Liu on his new position with TIRF!
