As we announced last month, TIRF is preparing to present at the 2019 TESOL International Convention and English Language Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The convention is offered from March 12-15, 2019.

The Foundations’ session this year is entitled “Where Global Meets Local in International Research and Publications,” and the abstract for the presentation is as follows: “For the past 20 years, TIRF has served as a nexus between research and practice, and among language researchers worldwide via its research-support programs and publications. In this session, we highlight TIRF’s collaborative efforts and demonstrate how the Foundation helps connect local and global needs in international language education.”

This session will be presented by Dr. Andy Curtis, TIRF Trustee and Chair of the Foundation’s Publications Committee, and Dr. Joyce Kling, Research Academic Officer at the University of Copenhagen and former TIRF DDG awardee. The session will be on Friday, March 15th from 9:30am to 10:15am at the Omni Hotel – Grand Ballroom C, which is next to where the TESOL convention is being held.

If you are going to be Atlanta in March, we hope to see you at TIRF’s session!
