Researchers, teacher educators, and practitioners are invited to submit chapter proposals for a new edited volume, Future-Ready English Language Education: Teaching, Learning, and Researching in an AI World, edited by TIRF Trustee Dr. Christine Coombe and Dr. Lana Hiasat, both from Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai.

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape English language education, this volume will explore how AI is influencing teaching, learning, assessment, curriculum design, teacher education, research, and educational policy. The editors seek research-informed and practice-oriented contributions that examine both the opportunities and challenges of preparing learners, teachers, and institutions for an AI-driven future.

The volume is anticipated to be published by TIRF as part of its “Global Research on Teaching and Learning English” series with Routledge (Taylor & Francis). Contributions are welcomed from scholars around the world and may include empirical studies, theoretical or conceptual papers, meta-analyses, and applied or action research. Topics of interest include AI-enhanced language teaching and assessment, AI literacy, teacher professional development, ethics and responsible AI use, multilingualism, accessibility, curriculum design, research methodologies, policy, and other emerging issues related to AI in English language education.

The proposal deadline is September 15, 2026. Interested contributors should submit a 50-word abstract and a 250-word proposal outlining the chapter’s focus, context, methodology, and key findings. The full CFP can be viewed by clicking here.
