Editor’s note: While we were preparing to publish the piece below, we received notice from TESOL stating that they were moving potions of its 2020 Convention online. Click here to learn more about the event that will be hosted July 16-18, 2020.

Like so many events around the world, conferences hosted by TESOL International Association and the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL) were cancelled earlier this year. However, there is hope for the future and both TESOL and AAAL are busy preparing for their 2021 offerings.

AAAL will be hosted in Houston, Texas from March 20th to 23rd next year. The call for papers is open from June 1st to July 15th. Further information about this event can be found at this link.

TESOL’s Convention and English Language Expo will be hosted from March 23rd to 26th, in Houston, as well. The call for papers is open now until June 10th. Further information about TESOL’s event can be found at this link. We hope to see our many colleagues join together once more during these wonderful conferences. Be sure to act soon to submit your proposal!
