The Foundation’s year-end fundraising efforts were well rewarded. In fact, 2023 proved to be an excellent year for TIRF fiscally – one we are planning to build upon throughout 2024. In this piece, we highlight our annual appeal and overall financial performance from last year.
TIRF’s year-end fundraiser stretched from late November to December 31st. The Foundation’s Board members (nearly 90% donate to TIRF financially) once again pooled their funds to offer their Trustee-matching campaign – an opportunity for donors to have their gifts matched dollar for dollar, up to $10,000 total. TIRF supporters exceeded the target set by Trustees, donating just over $11,500. This figure combined with the Trustees’ gifts resulted in more than $25,000 netted by the Foundation.
The good news does not stop there. The year-end fundraising performance added to what was already poised to be a very successful year for TIRF.
TIRF’s collective revenue-generating efforts throughout 2023 helped the Foundation post the strongest year it has in recent history. The Foundation netted more than $175,000 last year. This success was made possible through the cultivation of new and existing partnerships, anonymous giving, a one-time large gift, professional service contracts, and, of course, the amazing support of loyal supporters.
A great deal of thanks is owed to friends of TIRF for their outstanding contributions throughout 2023, including during the last few weeks of the year. Your generous donations have helped to sustain our activities and allow us to consider how we can better serve individuals worldwide involved in language education.
