‘Tis the season of giving and we hope you can support TIRF with a donation before the end of the year!
For several years in recent memory, TIRF struggled to establish its financial footing. However, this year, we have begun to find our balance, thanks to the assistance from supporters like you and our partners around the world.
In March, we celebrated our 20th anniversary as the Foundation for English language education. Capped by a gala fundraising dinner and a breakfast celebration, TIRF generated important funding for its cash reserves, allowing the Foundation to secure its operating expenses and expand its programs.
We wish to highlight several TIRF Professional Services activities we were engaged in this year, resulting from our irreplaceable partnerships – all of which helped to improve TIRF’s financial picture in 2019:
- TIRF launched its first-ever grant program for masters-level students, with the support of Words Up Your Way, based in China.
- We hosted the first session in TIRF’s speaker series for Duoweimingju, conducted online and in-person in Chengdu, China.
- The Foundation released its first-ever paper in the “Language Education in Review” Series, in collaboration with Laureate International Universities.
- Our Doctoral Dissertation Grants program has continued to thrive because of the ongoing support of Cambridge Assessment English, the British Council, and Educational Testing Service, and individual donors like you.
Momentum like this must be sustained through a variety of methods of revenue generation. Year in, year out, we need your help. To this day, TIRF continues to count on colleagues like you for approximately twenty percent of its annual income.
Can you please help TIRF with a donation before the end of 2019?
Contributions may be transmitted online via Keela or via PayPal. Alternatively, checks drawn on a U.S.-based bank account and made out to “TIRF” may be sent to the Foundation at the address shown below.
